At Hridaya, we practice Hatha Yoga in a contemplative way. We perform physical postures slowly and gently, holding them for a while to get the most benefit. The physical practice is integrated with the non-dual vision. That means that you are not just stretching the body, you are engaging with it—at every level. While in a pose, your focus is on gaining knowledge of the body and its bio-energies. You observe the thoughts, emotions, sensations, and actions that arise in and around you while remaining non-reactive. This contemplative approach helps you to connect to the essence of your being, the Spiritual Heart

Our ongoing Hridaya Hatha Yoga drop-in classes allow you the opportunity to experience the beauty of this practice. Drop-ins are suitable for all levels—whether you are a beginner or an advanced practitioner, you’ll find inspiration in these rejuvenating sessions.

We offer yoga drop-in classes in French at our center in France and English and Spanish at our center in Mexico.

Schedule

Drop-in classes are offered in French every Tuesday from 19:00-20:30 (except during holidays). For more information, please contact us.

Practicalities

  • Hridaya Hatha Yoga drop-in classes are offered for €7 per person, payable in cash upon arrival.
  • Hridaya Yoga France is a non-profit organization made up of its members. Payment of an annual membership fee of €10 is required to participate in drop-in classes. You are welcome to participate in one class before deciding if you want to become a member.
  • Drop-in classes are suitable for all levels—beginners welcome!
  • Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before class to check in at the Welcome Desk or directly with the teacher and to prepare your space in the yoga hall.
  • We provide yoga mats and meditation cushions. You are also welcome to bring your own.

We recommend that you wear comfortable clothes. Depending on your personal preferences, t-shirts, tank tops, yoga pants, loose pants, leggings, sweatpants, and shorts are all good options. You may want to wear a long-sleeve shirt or sweatshirt until you warm up.

Except during Hridaya Silent Meditation Retreats, drop-in classes are offered in English and Spanish, as below:

  • English: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 2:00-4:00 pm. Book your class here.
  • Spanish: TuesdaysThursdays, and Saturdays from 2:00-4:00 pm. Book your class here.

Practicalities

  • Hridaya Hatha Yoga drop-in classes are offered on a sliding scale from $50–$150 MXN. From the three options (Low-Income Price, Regular Price, and Supporting Price), please choose the one that best matches your possibilities.
  • Drop-in classes are suitable for all levels—beginners welcome!
  • Please check in at the Welcome Desk at least 10 minutes before class. Note that you won't be allowed into the hall without first finalizing your registration at the Welcome Desk.
  • If you have any medical concerns or physical limitations, please speak with the teacher before class.
  • After the Hatha Yoga class, you are invited to stay for a 1-hour Hridaya Meditation. The meditation session is followed by dinner at 5:00 pm, which you are also welcome to join. Dinner can be booked upon arrival.
  • We provide yoga mats and meditation cushions. You are also welcome to bring your own.
