From a young age, Brian was driven by a deep curiosity about life. A creative and inventive impulse led him to pursue a career in technology in Silicon Valley, but over time, he became disillusioned with a worldview centered on achievement, success, and merit. Struggling with depression and seeking deeper meaning, he turned to philosophy and spirituality.

While studying computer science at Stanford University in 2016, he encountered the core teachings of Buddhism—teachings that, for the first time, felt undeniably true. Yet, without a clear way to integrate these insights into daily life and believing monasticism to be his only option, he felt stuck. In 2019, Brian discovered Hridaya and found a practical, embodied path for living wisdom rather than merely understanding it intellectually. He dove wholeheartedly into yogic practice, cultivating a daily meditation practice under the guidance of Sahajananda.

In 2022, Brian became a Hridaya teacher and now shares the path of the Heart, supporting others in their own journeys of transformation.
