Hridaya Silent Meditation Retreats are primarily addressed to spiritual aspirants looking for inner harmony, peace, love, Self-knowledge, and openness of the Heart in a supportive yet intensive environment focused on Self-Inquiry. Our retreats are most beneficial for those currently in a stable emotional and psychological state who want to learn to meditate, know themselves at a more profound level, or deepen their meditation practice and Self-awareness. The spiritual attitudes recommended in the yogic tradition emphasize witnessing and detaching from all psycho-mental challenges. However, they are not meant to diagnose, treat, or manage any mental health conditions.

Mental Health Awareness

We encourage those currently experiencing or who have a history of severe mental health conditions to honestly evaluate their current mental and emotional well-being before joining our retreats. Our programs are intense and introspective, which may not be suitable for everyone at all times.

Hridaya Retreat Leaders and Coordinators are trained to guide participants’ meditation and spiritual practice. Nevertheless, their support does not extend to individual mental health care; they are not mental health professionals. Our staff is not equipped to provide emergency psychological services or support for acute mental health conditions.

Please note that Hridaya Retreats are not intended to be a substitute for professional mental health treatment. Therefore, Hridaya and its facilitators cannot be held responsible for any adverse effects, including the worsening of pre-existing mental health conditions, experienced during or after participation in our retreats.

If you are currently experiencing a serious mental health condition, we recommend seeking professional support and delaying retreat participation until you feel more stable and supported in your mental health journey.
