Payment and Refund Information

Tuition

The HTTC course fee is $3,200 USD. The full payment deadline is August 12. The course fee includes complimentary participation in two 10-Day Hridaya Silent Meditation Retreats led by Sahajananda. Participation in these retreats is a mandatory part of the course curriculum.

Accommodation and Meals

The tuition fee does not include accommodation or meals. Individual vegan meals and snacks are available at our center and you can also choose from a variety of meal plans. More information will be provided upon acceptance to the program.

Accommodations can be found off-site. Our center is located on a hill between the villages of Mazunte and San Agustinillo, so booking accommodation in either location is generally convenient and within walking distance. For information about off-site accommodation options, visit this page.

Initial Registration upon Approval

Upon approval of your application, you will be sent a link to register in our booking system.  A deposit of 50% of the booking is required to confirm your enrollment. Deposits may be made by debit or credit card. Note that we do not accept payments via PayPal or bank transfer.

If you register using an American Express or a credit card issued by a Mexican bank and input the MESES code at checkout, your final payment will be charged in 6 interest-free monthly installments beginning August 12.

Once your deposit has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to make the final payment.

Full Payment to Confirm Reservation

Your final payment is due by August 12. If you registered using the MESES code, your monthly installments will begin on this date.

Full payment will constitute a confirmation of your place in the course. If we don’t receive the final payment by the stated deadline, we will assume that you have canceled your enrollment. Final payments must be made by debit or credit card through our booking system. Note that we do not accept payments via PayPal or bank transfer.

Hridaya Yoga is not responsible for payment errors, personal problems with credit card accounts, power outages, internet inaccessibility, bank holidays, etc. These guidelines are given well in advance of the deadline to give you the opportunity to verify all of these factors and make a timely payment. Please take advantage of this advance notice to investigate your account maximums, account functionality, etc.

We advise you to handle any payment issues in advance, as we cannot make an exception if you miss the final payment deadline.

In special cases, Sahajananda may choose to offer scholarships to students with a strong aspiration to serve but few economic resources.

Cancellation and Refund Guidelines

You may cancel your enrollment by emailing us. Note that the following refund guidelines will apply.

Cancellation before full payment deadline:

  • 10% of total booking fees will be kept as an administrative surcharge and the remainder of the deposit will be refunded.

Cancellation after full payment deadline:

  • At least 14 days before check-in: 50% of total booking fees will be kept as an administrative surcharge and the remainder of the booking total will be refunded.
  • 0 to 13 days before check-in: 75% of total booking fees will be kept as an administrative surcharge and the remainder of the booking total will be refunded.
  • After check-in: No refunds or credits will be issued.

Selection Process

Hridaya Yoga holds very high standards for its teaching staff. There is a selection process that applies to each level of the course. To graduate, you will be expected to pass three exams and earn a positive final teaching evaluation.

The first month of the HTTC serves as a semi-trial period, during which all participants are evaluated—with emphasis given to their level of enthusiasm, dedication, and aspiration. At the end of this period, Sahajananda will have an individual meeting with you and make a decision as to whether or not you have demonstrated the necessary qualities to successfully complete the HTTC. If we decide that the course is not the best fit for you, we will refund two-thirds of the fees for tuition, accommodation, and meals. No refunds will be given after this point in the course.

If you don’t pass the final exam, you may retake it. If you fail the make-up exam, you may participate in a future HTTC for 50% of the tuition fee.
