Scribbles in Infinity
By Hadi Beyrouti
No word can describe you, nothing can contain you.
Words come from somewhere, yet when their source is unconscious, they carry no significance. Names, ideas, and images are all empty when your heart doesn’t fill them with life, the way it vibrates when you are close to the Nameless.
From that source, the cause of all that moves, all elements are born. Ideas of existence or non-existence are too limited, for you are yourself beyond yourself as the whole and as nothing at all.
You are ever-present, and there is only you. The three worlds and the endless passage of time flow by you. Wherever you look, there you will be, and your knowledge will come through that by which you know that you are. In knowing yourself, you know the world. In knowing the world, you breathe life into it.
Life is given through your direct perception of silence, and within it, all fades away. Your name, your ideas, and your images of yourself are taken away, for they do not contain you. In silence, they are absorbed.
When all has been given, that which cannot be created is received. When you become completely invisible, you will know real shining.
You are the only truth, and every endeavor is but a shadow of the search for truth until your gaze turns. Even though you are everywhere, nothing can point to you. Have you ever been somewhere where you were not? Have you ever been at a time when you were not? Isn’t the idea of otherness but a mirage in your mind?
When that silent gaze surrenders, you know through becoming. Your mind is within you, and its dissolution reveals you. Yet only through your grace are you revealed, through the same one that conceals. You create, maintain, dissolve. In the endless now that is yourself, you have brought all forth as yourself, and you will take everything back into yourself. Eternally blissful in essence, ever-changing in form, and absolutely non-dual in reality.
Through what grace have you brought the question that reveals what the eye cannot see?
In a moment of silence, through your curiosity, the Cosmos wonders… “Who Am I?”
