Craig White is a 2013 graduate of the Hridaya Teacher Training Course. In addition to his experience as a yoga and meditation teacher, he has spent over 20 years as a high-performance professional sports coach and holds a Ph.D. in holistic nutrition.
His mission is to create a world of safety by trusting himself, authentically sharing his gifts from a place of truth and honesty, and empowering others to do the same. He now works predominantly as a men’s coach and offers retreats, workshops, and private sessions. He connects with men around the world through his business Craig White Coaching.
Craig will lead the Men Without Masks Retreat at the Hridaya Yoga Center from September 19-21, 2017. We invite you to read more about his work below.
Where are you located?
I live in the U.K. in a town called Bollington, at the edge of the Peak District National Park. I also travel around the world giving retreats and working with clients.
What inspires your work with men?
People have been telling me for years that I have the skills, experience, and presence to provide a safe space where men can open up, be vulnerable, and empower themselves to live more authentically.
How long have you been doing this work?
I have evolved into this work. My personal coaching business is about one year old, but I worked as a professional rugby coach for 23 years. Some of my clients are still sports coaches and ex-athletes.
What ongoing courses and activities do you offer?
My signature retreat is called Men Without Masks. It offers a journey through the four Powers of Manhood. These are the energies of the King, Lover, Warrior, and Magician archetypes. Through men’s circles, yoga postures, pranayama, meditation, Self-Enquiry, shadow work, and other methods, we journey through these powers to highlight our relationship with them, increasing self-awareness and accountability.
I am also in the process of creating a second retreat called The New Mantality. This retreat will be an opportunity to:
- Understand the past in order to experience forgiveness (of self and others) and be grateful for all life’s experiences.
- Cultivate more presence in all aspects of life.
- Identify a deeper purpose, experience more direction, and learn to share gifts.
I also offer private coaching packages (mainly for sports coaches). These can span a 12-month, 6-month, or 3-month period.
What is special about your work?
What makes all my projects special is how I am able to call on my knowledge and previous experience. I weave many elements together—including yoga, meditation, men’s groups, shadow work, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, life coaching, health coaching, etc.
When are your next retreats?
In addition to the Men Without Masks Retreat at the Hridaya Yoga Center in September, I will offer a 5-day Men’s Retreat in the U.K. starting November 15th. It will be at Whaley Hall in the Peak District.
Is there anything else you would like people to know about your work?
Working with me will transform your life and help you uncover the real you.
