As Omicron affects even those fully vaccinated and boostered, we are requiring testing from everyone, for all of our safety.

Our preference is for an antigen test done within 24 hours of arrival. We will also accept a PCR test taken within 72 hours. You may also do a self-administered test if the test is performed on-site upon arrival and the negative result is shown to a staff member. Please note that should any on-site test be positive you will not be able to attend the course or stay in our facilities.

No, trusting that you have been following safe and sane Covid practices and are free from symptoms, there is no need to provide a negative test to continue on to our next program. However, if there is a gap in your attendance, for example, you do the retreat but leave during the workshop week and return for the module cycle, you will need to provide a test upon your arrival for the module.

We are requiring testing upon arrival as a way to provide the safest environment possible. Of course, tests are not 100% reliable and some students may start showing symptoms after the course starts. Should this happen, we ask that the student inform us immediately and we will evaluate the best course of action, which will likely involve quarantining to minimize the exposure of other students. We are not requiring daily testing from students as this doesn’t seem feasible or necessary at this time.

Antigen tests are readily available in Mazunte through several private doctors. We have heard that the lowest price for a rapid test is available at Médico Mazunte, a health center about a 10-minute walk from the Hridaya Yoga Center.
