Tuition Fees and Accommodation & Meal Costs
The Hridaya Teacher Training Course (HTTC) fee is €2,800. Completion of the Hridaya Yoga Retreat: Module 1 Intensive and one 10-Day Hridaya Silent Meditation Retreat are prerequisites for this course.
The tuition fee includes complimentary participation in two 10-Day Hridaya Silent Meditation Retreats led by Sahajananda. Participation is mandatory and part of the course curriculum.
The tuition fee does not include accommodation and meals, but both are available on-site. Rental accommodation can also be found off-site but is more limited. If planning to stay on-site, we recommend that you book your preferred accommodation option during initial registration to ensure your place.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all available at Hridaya Yoga France and there are different meal plan options for this.
Initial Registration Upon Approval
Upon approval of your application, initial registration can be made via our booking system (a booking link will be sent to you) whereby there will be the option to either pay 50% of the tuition fee only, 50% of tuition and accommodation or meals only, 50% of tuition, accommodation and meals or to pay in full all of these options. As an association, we also require you to become a member (if you are not currently) of Hridaya Yoga France – the fee for this is €10.
Payment can be made via debit/credit card or by bank transfer. We do not accept payments via Paypal.
Full Payment to Confirm Reservation
HTTC participants are required to pay in full the tuition fee, on-site accommodation and meals prior to the course start date. The full amount of €2,800 (plus on-site accommodation and meals) is due by August 15th at the latest.
If you have any questions, please contact email@example.com.
Full payment will constitute reconfirmation of a participant’s place in the course. If this has not been paid by the payment deadline, a participant’s position will be considered forfeited.
The HTTC will not be held responsible for participants’ payment errors, personal problems with their Visa account or credit limit, power outages or Internet inaccessibility, bank holidays, etc. These guidelines are given well in advance of these deadlines to give participants the opportunity to verify all of these factors so they are not surprised at the last moment. Please take advantage of this advance notice to investigate your account maximums, account functionality, etc.
We advise you to handle your payment issues in advance of these payment deadlines as we will not be able to extend exceptions to those who find themselves unprepared to pay for the course at such a late date.
In special cases, Sahajananda may choose to offer scholarships to students with strong aspiration to serve but few economic resources.
Withdrawal from the Program after Payment
A student who has been accepted to the HTTC and who has already paid in full may withdraw him- or herself by email (to firstname.lastname@example.org) up to seven (7) days prior to the start of the course.
If this withdrawal notice is received before the tuition fee payment deadline (the 15th of August) the student will be charged 10% of the tuition fee as an administrative surcharge (90% of the tuition fee will be refunded) and 100% of any payments that have been made for food and accommodation.
If this withdrawal notice is received after the tuition fee payment deadline (the 15th of August) but at least one week prior to the start of the course, the student will receive a refund of 50% of the course fee (€1,400) and 100% accommodation and meal costs. Beginning six days prior to the course, no refunds whatsoever apply.
Selection Process and Refund Policy
Hridaya Yoga holds very high standards for its teaching staff. There is a selection process that applies to each level of the course. Students are expected to pass three exams in total during the course and to earn a positive final teaching evaluation.
The first month of the HTTC serves as a semi-trial period, during which all participants will be evaluated with emphasis given to their levels of enthusiasm, dedication, and aspiration. At the end of this period, individual meetings will be held between each HTTC student and Sahajananda. A decision will be made at this point as to whether or not a student has demonstrated the necessary qualities to successfully complete the HTTC.
An evaluation will be made such that if HTTC decides after the first month that a student is not fit to become a teacher in this tradition, HTTC Administration will refund two-thirds of the tuition fee and for any accommodation and meals. No refunds will be given after this point in the program.
If a student does not pass the final exam, he or she may retake the test and, in the case of a second failure, may participate in a future HTTC at a reduced cost of 50% of the course fee.
