Antoine was born in Bordeaux, France, in 1989. He always felt deeply concerned by the degradation of our planet and our materialistic way of life as a human family. Antoine’s longing to act for a better future initially manifested through several years of working as an environmental engineer in Africa and Asia. His journey to understand and address the causes of suffering led him to discover the teachings of the Buddha in 2016. Since then, he has been diving into the art of love and understanding through several Vipassana retreats (Goenka Ji), mindfulness retreats in Thich Nhat Hanh’s tradition (including a one-year retreat at Plum Village monastery), and many yoga modules and silent retreats at the Hridaya center in Longeval.
In 2021, Antoine felt the longing to go deeper into the Hridaya practice and start sharing his practice and understanding. So, he decided to participate in the Hridaya Teacher Training Course. Since then, he has been serving as a Karma Yogi in Longeval, cooking and teaching with much joy and gratitude at being able to flourish in such an inspiring environment.
